Year 5 and 6 Boys' Cricket Team

On 25th May, Our Boys' cricket team went off to Melton Cricket Club to compete in the Melton Schools' Kwik Cricket  competition. We were placed in a group alongside Frisby, Sherard, Waltham and Ab Kettleby Primary Schools. After successfully winning all four of our group games in which we scored 1102 runs and took an astonishing 34 wickets, we progressed to the final to play Brownlow Primary School, who were the winners of the other group.

After a very tense final, Bottesford came out victorious, winning the competition for the second year in a row. A fantastic achievement and a great day of cricket for all.

Bottesford Girls A-team Kwik Cricket Champions

Bottesford Girls A-team went on too reach the final where they beat Brownlow Primary School to become the Vale and Meltons School Kwik Cricket Champions and qualify for the Summer Championships held at Uppingham Sports Centre. A fantastic day of cricket with great skill being displayed throughout by all children involved.

Vale and Melton Girls' Kwik Cricket competition


On 9th June 2017, Bottesford CE Primary School took two teams of Year 5 and 6 girls to Melton Cricket Club to compete in the Girls' Kwik Cricket tournament. Both teams showed great team work and skill, hitting plenty of boundaries and taking many wickets along the way.
